  Worst bank I have ever banked at. I closed my accounts after my checking account was off by hundreds of dollars for a second time. The first time was a computer error after making changes in their system, which charged people with a debit card multiple times for a single transaction. I was charged double for a computer purchase. I did not find out about this until I was unable to pay for my gas, and the bank was closed at this time so I had to wait and call the next morning to find out what was wrong, and pay for my gas then. They told me it had happened to several accounts and that they had been working to fix it the whole day, but what would have been great, a phone call letting me know that there was a problem. I don't remember what happened the second time, and I don't even want to get started on how they were charging a close friend of mine 17% interest on a car loan! and I'm just mentioning the worst problems I've had. The only reason why I'm giving them one star is, bc I have to in order to publish my review!

  I really enjoyed my experience at Girard National Bank for the first time! All the employees were super friendly and seemed very willing to help me out :) I am glad I chose to open an account with them, very pleased with everything so far! I certainly made the right decision....would recommend this bank to anyone.

  My late wife and I banked at Girard National Bank in the mid 1970's and we moved out of state in 1989. As a young couple we appreciated the great service we reached, Martin and the staff were great people to work with over the years. Soon be two years ago my son and I were back in southeast Kansas for a visit and Martin gave us a tour of the Bank. I know it is much larger today than when we were there but it was obvious the quality of service to the customer had not changed. I started Banking with Earl in the early 70's and with Martin after Earl's passing. I will always be a strong supporter of the Girard National Bank! Blessings to you as you continue to serve the people.
